Reclaimed Art
Roz discovers abandoned canvases left by the side of the road and breathes new life into them. With a keen eye for potential, she rescues these forgotten pieces and transforms them through her creative process. What once seemed like discarded trash is carefully reimagined and reclaimed, turning each canvas into a unique treasure that tells a new story. Through this work, Roz not only reduces waste but also celebrates the beauty of renewal and artistic rebirth.
The Castaway, 2025
40” x 30.5” acrylic paint on reclaimed, mass production art canvas.
Multiple pieces, soda lime blown glass, approx 7”. Roslyn, meaning "beautiful rose" in Spanish, has a meaningful connection to the strawberry, a part of the rose family. This botanical link inspired the original nickname "Rozberries." For Roz, the strawberry symbolizes more than just a fruit; it represents a point of exploration for self-identity and skill development. As she practices glassblowing, Roz uses the strawberry's intricate form and natural beauty as a muse, guiding her artistic journey and helping her refine both her personal expression and craftsmanship.

Each painting serves as a unique portal to a distinct spiritual meaning, transcending the boundaries of ordinary art. One painting may be designed to facilitate the cutting of spiritual cords, helping the viewer release negative attachments and emotional burdens. Another might invite access to divine feminine wisdom, awakening deeper intuition, nurturing energy, and inner balance.
These works are more than simple paintings; they contain wisdom from another realm, acting as conduits between the physical world and spiritual dimensions. Through symbolism, color, and form, they tap into ancient knowledge and spiritual truths, guiding the observer toward transformation and insight. The energy embedded within each piece resonates beyond the canvas, suggesting that they are sacred tools rather than mere decorative objects, inviting introspection and connection with higher consciousness.

24” x 24”, Acrylic on Canvas. This painting study was an exploration of golden light. Roz seldom uses photo references; instead, she studies scenes privately as a form of meditation. She then brings to the canvas what her mind can recall, allowing memory and imagination to guide her work. Occasionally, flowers emerge in the painting that cannot be found in the natural world, reflecting a creative freedom that transcends literal representation. This approach results in compositions that blend reality with an ethereal quality, inviting viewers to experience light and color through a uniquely personal lens.
A Meditation in Golden Light, 2024
28” x 14” gouache, acrylic on canvas. This painting is a study of contrast and material, highlighting Roz's unique approach to floral art. Each flower is treated as an individual entity, existing in its own universe rather than as part of a collective bouquet. The focus is not on capturing a generic floral image but on exploring the distinct qualities and nuances that make each flower unique. The way the sunlight interacts with every blossom varies, emphasizing different textures, colors, and shadows. This method invites viewers to see the subtle differences and appreciate the individuality of each flower as something vibrant and alive.
